Don't ignore the "RLTO"

Landlords, ignoring the Chicago Residential Landlord Tenant Ordinance (also known as the “RLTO”) could mean the difference between being sued and not being sued.

The RLTO applies to all landlord-tenant relationships EXCEPT when the building is BOTH owner-occupied AND six or fewer units.  “Owner occupied” generally means living there full time.  If you have a problem with a tenant, consult the ordinance BEFORE acting.

Check out our website to review the RLTO along with other helpful information for landlords. Bradford Miller Law has been helping landlords resolve issues for several years. Being a Chicago landlord law attorney, we have handled many cases. If you have a landlord-tenant dispute, contact me at 312-238-9298 for a free consultation.
