• unpaid accounts
• chronic late payments
• bankruptcies
• and, if provided, eviction history or judgments against them

It is important to look at how much debt your prospective tenant has. Even if they have been paying their bills on time, if a large majority of their income each month is already committed, they may have difficulty paying their rent on time.
